Forster snatches last gasp third win
The closest race of the day, the RX150 final was closely contested and had a last gasp change of leader as Leo Forster grabbed the race win from Ollie O’Donovan.
Tommy Keet was the top qualifier, fastest time in the third heat earning him five bonus points and pole ahead of Steve Harris, O’Donovan and Forster.
O’Donovan burst through to grab the lead at the start of the race, with fifth qualifier Geoffrey Dolan making an impression in his first start of the year and running with Keet and Forster as they hounded O’Donovan. Forster pressed O’Donovan hard and then snatched the win just a few metres from the finishing line to take his third event win of the year. KeetĀ finished third, ahead of Dolan and Joe Shrimpton. Steve and Jake Harris were next up with Jack McGinley, also in his first start of the year, completing the order.
